Types of Massage
Deep Tissue Massage—to lessen chronic muscular pain and rehabilitate injuries
Patients with chronic muscular pain, injury, and inflammation-related pain from by arthritis and tendonitis benefit from deep tissue massage.
Deep tissue massage techniques are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia and improve deep-tissue and deep-muscle areas.
At Acupuncture and Chiropractic Center of Pensacola, we have the advanced training in massage techniques and possess the technical knowledge of anatomy and physiology required to properly administer deep tissue massage for chronic pain relief.
Swedish Massage—to increase relaxation, improve circulation, and speed up healing
The many benefits of Swedish massage include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation—all of which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.
Swedish massage is one of the most common and best-known massage therapy techniques and is designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation.
We use combinations of five vigorous strokes (kneading, rolling, vibrational, percussive, and tapping), all flowing toward the heart, to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. To reduce friction on the skin, we apply oil during the massage.
